Inspired by Goethe’s Faust, this is a black ink with considerably more going on than it first lets on.
The base is a violet-black, deep enough for everyday writing, but on the right paper a strong green sheen rises over the surface. Wearingeul ties the color to Mephistopheles’ temptation — dark at first glance, with something much less innocent waiting underneath.
